    DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS

    Austen is a first year medical student at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Austen was born in Northwest Indiana and graduated from Indiana University in 2021, where they received a B.S. in Neuroscience and a B.A. with a major in Spanish Literature. Austen's professional interests include public and community health, immigrant health, LGBTQ+ health, pediatrics, and family medicine. When they have time to step away from the computer, you can find Austen at a farmer's market, hiking throughout Minnesota's 10,000 lakes, or watching a rugby game.

  • Cheyanne Izon | she/her

    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PARTNERSHIPS AND COMMUNICATION

    Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine
    Class of 2026

    Cheyanne is currently a second year medical student at the Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Wichita, KS. Cheyanne grew up across Canada and moved to Colorado in the middle of her junior year of high school. She earned a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with minors in both Chemistry and Leadership Studies at Colorado State University. She is interested in cardiology, hospitalist medicine, and LGBTQ+ health. Outside of medicine, Cheyanne likes spending time with her friends, cooking new dishes, and exploring the outdoors.

  • DEATON JONES | HE/HIM

    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR PARTNERSHIPS & COMMUNICATION

    University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry
    Class of 2024

    Deaton is a MD candidate at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry, expecting to graduate in Spring 2024. Deaton received a BA in Economics and Philosophy as well as a Postbaccalaureate Premedical Certificate from Columbia University. In between these programs, Deaton worked in fashion, then advertising, and then finally fitness (like Jane Fonda aerobics) before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. Outside of the classroom, Deaton is always looking for opportunities to move, be it tennis, dancing, or otherwise.

    Yvonne Ogrodzinski | she/her

    BNGAP LIASON

    University of Toledo Class of 2024

    Yvonne is a third year medical student at The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. She grew up in rural Michigan and received her B.S. in Physiology from Michigan State University. Her current interests include LGBTQIA+ health and Ob/Gyn. Yvonne enjoys spending time with her two cats, crocheting, and playing video games.

    Andi Beaudouin | they/them

    PRE-MEDICAL INTERN

    Loyola University Chicago

    Andi Beaudouin (they/them) is a senior at Loyola University Chicago studying molecular and cellular neuroscience and biology, and minoring in chemistry, women's studies and gender studies, and anthropology. As a marginalized person, Andi seeks to advocate for justice and accessibility in the healthcare world. Andi is a student organizer for Students for Reproductive Justice (SRJ), which is an anti-racist, queer-affirming and women-affirming space that organizes for reproductive justice at Loyola. SRJ distributes condoms, dental dams, lubricants, and menstrual cups across Loyola's campus. Hoping to expand on what SRJ offers, Andi has launched SRJ's emergency contraceptive peer-distribution program called "EZ EC". Andi is also a member of Advocates for Youth, and works frequently with the Condom Collective program. As a future healthcare professional, Andi firmly believes that everyone has a right to reproductive justice and reproductive freedom. When Andi is not advocating for reproductive justice and studying, they can be found doing pottery, watching anime, and hanging out with their cat.

  • FRANCIS YANG | HE/HIM

    PEER ORGANIZATION LIAISON

    Michigan State University College of Human Medicine
    Class of 2023

    Francis is currently a second-year MD student at MSUCHM. Francis was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Singapore and Shanghai before moving back to the U.S. for college. He earned his B.S. in Neuroscience at UC Riverside and his M.S. in Global Medicine at the University of Southern California. Between his schooling he worked in clinical research, first in pediatric bone marrow transplantation then in HIV prior to medical school. His interests include LGBTQIA+ health, psychiatry, substance use, and caring for underserved communities. He enjoys almost everything including spending time with his partner, 3 cats, and his dog while gaming and eating all the food.
