DELIA SOSA | THEY/THEM

University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
Class of 2026

Delia is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. They graduated from University of Chicago in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Biological Sciences. Delia then went on to graduate from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2021 with a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Their academic and professional interests include transgender and gender-diverse health, intersex health, obstetrics, anesthesiology, and emergency medicine. Outside of school, Delia enjoys singing, makeup art, swimming, and spending time with their fiance, corgi Winnie, and cat Beef.

AUSTEN OTT | THEY/THEM

University of Minnesota Medical School
Class of 2025

Austen is a fourth year medical student at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Austen was born in Northwest Indiana and graduated from Indiana University in 2021, where they received a B.S. in Neuroscience and a B.A. with a major in Spanish Literature. Austen's professional interests include public and community health, immigrant health, LGBTQ+ health, pediatrics, and family medicine. When they have time to step away from the computer, you can find Austen at a farmer's market, hiking throughout Minnesota's 10,000 lakes, or watching a rugby game.

  • Provides a forum for collective action and collaboration between LGBTQ+ medical students

  • Responsible for all chapter affairs

  • Represents the outward-facing contact for parties approaching MSPA

  • Leads collaboration projects with our partners and peer organizations

  • Responsible for the financial health and compliance of the organization

  • Develops the MSPA brand and maximizes aesthetic impact

  • Responsible for Social Media outreach

  • Responsible for overseeing administrative tasks and organizational hygiene necessary for the successful operation of MSPA

  • Manages the scholarly activities and resources of MSPA and its members
